Software Test Team Leader

Job Description

Siemens is looking for a Software Test Team Leader, to be hired with a permanent contract, for its premises in Milan.  He/she will be leading the test team part of our R&D group dedicated to all the Quality Assurance activities related to SW products and solutions realized for Smart Grid portfolio especially in Italy.
The Software Test Team Leader takes care of the entire test process with a particular focus on test automation paradigms and tools. He/she will help the ongoing transformation toward the adoption of DevOps methodologies.

What will you manage in the short term?
  • Defining the complete test process by adopting specific methodologies and tools;
  • Working in the R&D team for planning, design and executing integration and validation tests;
  • Coordinating test team for the design and development of automated test cases;
  • Supporting the transition toward a DevOps organization; 

And what about the medium-long term? 
  • You will have the possibility to cooperate with the development of SW products 

Who are we looking for? 

A candidate with the following features:

  • Passionate and enthusiastic for new technologies and trends
  • Bachelor's / Three Years Master's Degree in Informatics Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in SW testing; 
  • Deep knowledge of the SW product development life-cycle, in particular SW testing process and methodologies; ability to design test plans and test scenarios  
  • At least 2 years of experience coordinating test team
  • Experience of test activities in Agile and/or DevOps (CI/CD) methodologies  
  • Experience of testing automation tools (such as SoapUI, Selenium)
  • Experience of integration/continuous delivery tools (such as Jenkins)
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker tool 
  • Understanding of coding enterprise applications within nodejs, Java, Python and other languages 
  • Knowledge of SQL database technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL
  • Good Knowledge of SCADA
  • Understanding of NoSQL database technologies such as MongoDB
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment 
  • Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively in both English and Italian
