Our research group Wireless Networks is focused on advanced research for a wide range of wireless technologies. During your internship you will work with state-of-the-art wireless technologies, including 5G, WLAN, Bluetooth, ZigBee, etc.
You will contribute to the development and evaluation of new concepts through theoretical analysis and simulations
You can get first insight into the planning and implementation of prototypes with software defined radio
Moreover, you will be involved in the planning and implementation of measurements and field trials
You gather first-hand experience with the application of artificial intelligence in wireless communications
Furthermore, you will be involved in improving the existing software modules using C/C++ and Python in a Linux environment
We don’t need superheroes, just super minds.
You are currently a student of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field with focus on wireless communications and you are required to complete a mandatory internship under university study regulations
Your programming skills in C/C++ and Python are on advanced level and you are experienced with Linux
Knowledge of networking and communications technologies (e.g., SDN) and/or experience with wireless communications systems (5G, WLAN, Bluetooth, ZigBee, etc.) are an advantage
Experience with any of the following is beneficial: GNUradio, Open Air Interface, network simulator ns-3, Omnet++, USRP, RFNoC, Docker, networking in Linux, Keras, Tensorflow, Pytorch
Very good written and oral English skills are required, German skills would be an asset
We encourage you to use this subject matter towards your BSc or MSc thesis. The duration of this internship is based on the study regulations of your university.
