Senior Commercial Project Manager 

Location:  Frimley, UK with travel to the Keadby site.

Division: Power & Gas

Role Summary

This role will be responsible for all commercial and financial matters for the onshore element of the Keadby Power Plant project, with an onshore budget of £150 million, out of a total project size of £320million. The project is to deliver the first 9000HL turbine to the UK.

You will support the Local Project Manager, the World Project Controller and the Overall Project Manager with the objective of executing the project according to the Project Management standards, customer requirements and the applicable financial regulations.  In addition there will be support for proposals for new projects and support for RU management as required.


  • Review and evaluation of contract conditions

  • Commercial project status meetings

  • Support the PM is identifying, evaluating risks and opportunities, strategies and response activities.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines for all aspect of the onshore part of the project.

  • Support the PM in identifying and minimising non conformance costs including an appropriate reporting structure and feedback lessons learnt within the project and the wider organisation.

  • All commercial and financial reporting to include actuals, forecasts, planning, forecast accuracy, ntcash flow and such ad hoc reporting as required.

  • Claims management, internal and external, supplier and customer.

  • Ensure accurate recording of all non conformance costs and contribute to their resolution along with lessons learnt.

  • Accurate management of currency and hedging risks.

  • Commercial review of all Solutions proposals including pricing, contract and risks,


Skills and Experience required:


  • Experience in a similar Commercial role for large projects

  • Qualified Accountant preferred

  • Strong experience of Spiridon and Excel

  • Excellent communications skills dealing with finance and non finance colleagues of all levels.
