Account Manager Oil & Gas
We are seeking an experienced sales professional to be based in Aberdeen focused on the strategic Oil & Gas sector.
The role holder will work on established Oil & Gas accounts, the supply chain & Siemens partner channels, with a requirement to also develop new accounts and opportunities in this sector. Knowledge of Automation, Electrification & ideally Digital solutions would be required.
What are my responsibilities?
Developing strategic vendor relationship with the major end users predominantly based around Aberdeen, with occasional support for accounts & Siemens business based elsewhere in the GBI region. The role requires an insight based, value selling approach whereby the role holder will empathise with the customer, fully understand their requirements and align this with the Siemens portfolio.
Develop relationship with End Client key decision makers at all executive and engineering levels, plant managers, operations & procurement directors etc…and ensure access for Siemens Digital Industries portfolio.
Develop business development strategy for Siemens in the accounts, including setting long term growth targets, whilst maintaining project pipeline’s both directly and through Siemens Channel management & solution partners.
Demonstrate the value of the Siemens value propositions to executive-level decision makers within the accounts.
Achieve agreed sales and turnover targets for Industry business units, meeting strategic objectives & financial targets.
Accurately and regularly maintain account data quality. Fully maintain pipeline opportunities & offers within the CRM system Philos/Salesforce.
What do I need to qualify for this role?
Educated to HNC/HND level or equivalent in a Electrical/Mechanical or Automation biased discipline or equivalent in experience. We are looking for a highly motivated and disciplined self starter with a proven track record of successful sales/account management. Real passion and commitment are needed for this role. Experience selling to Oil & Gas end users is essential as well as experience in a business development role.
Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
Proven sales experience with an excellent track record of account management / development
A good understanding of the Oil & Gas industry sector / market, its drivers, challenges, and likely future trends is desirable.
Strong inter-personal, communication and negotiation skills.
The ability to manage internal & external resources, activities and time effectively, working within a close team.
The capability to present convincingly the Siemens proposition at all levels is essential.
