Simcenter Tyre Application Engineer for Customer Support


Simcenter Tyre provides the industry standard in tyre simulation models for vehicle dynamics applications. As a result of our success, we are looking to extend our team with an Application Engineer for Customer Support. We are looking for a motivated candidate based in our office in Rijswijk, The Netherlands, who can support our current and potential new customers in the usage of our software products.

Job Responsibilities:

      Answer customer support questions, either directly to the customer or through the support engineers in our local offices.

      Identify business opportunities originating from customer support questions.

      Identify and indicate potential product improvements to Product Management and Software Development teams

      Escalate (potential) software product deficiencies to Product Management and Software Development teams

      Closely work with Software testing in order to make sure that the customer cases are well represented throughout software testing

      Support customers (potentially on-site) to guide evaluations of the Simcenter Tyre software products

      Develop demonstration cases in cooperation with Product Management in order to highlight application cases and added value of the Simcenter Tyre software products

      Provide (potentially on-site) customer training sessions

Required Background & Education:

  • Education level: MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar.
  • Service oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge and working experience in support of commercial software package(s) (>2 yrs).
  • Knowledge and experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Knowledge and experience with vehicle dynamic simulation packages such as ADAMS, IPG CarMaker and MSC CarSim is a plus.
  • Working experience in the automotive market is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 10%)
