Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, qualified financial controller to work within our Laboratory Diagnostics (LD) & Point of Care (POC) BA (Business Administration) department in our Healthcare Company supporting all financial and commercial activities within GB&I. 

The department is primarily focused on providing finance and commercial support to all stakeholders in Healthcare GB&I via robust business processes and to conduct comprehensive project controlling.


Responsibilities include: 

  • The monitoring and analysis of critical project KPI's to manage and control performance, interacting and liaising with all functions.Provide finance and commercial support underpinned by business governance activities.

  • Contribute to the decision making and success of Siemens Healthcare Limited / Siemens Diagnostics Limited through accurate and timely interpretation and clear communication of financial, commercial and other data.

  • Participate in planning, controlling and reporting tasks, as well as assisting with finance queries. 

Some further responsibilities include:

Manage and control financial month end, including analysis of transactional data, required journal preparation and processing and monthly reconciliations

Monthly management of GB&I Productivity reporting as well as management reporting for region EMEA

Conduct monthly financial model controlling for all active Managed Pathology Contracts delivering transparent project performance analysis and cost controlling

Financial responsibility for checking and approving invoice requests and Change Control Notes (CCNs)

Provide support for all business RIC / Audit / Tax reporting requirements

Provide support to senior management for any required financial analysis and reporting

Manage Project Equipment & Fixed Asset management process, including rationalising the full asset life cycle and identifying gaps

Provide business cases for specific projects detailing equipment changes including financial rationale

Contribute inputs for all project accounting papers

Support for standalone Diagnostics Department projects including creation of CCN portal (Excel modelling), creation of Contracts Dashboard (Excel modelling) and documentation of LOA / Business Governance Review process (flowchart creation)

Participate in various cost saving projects/initiatives (PAI, Non Conformance Cost Controlling reductions, Free of charge project)


Essential Skills and Experience

Part -Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)

Excellent analytical skills

Good communication skills

Self-motivated, with the ability to set priorities and manage to tight deadlines
Numerate, and highly proficient in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint


Desirable Skills and Experience

Individual who has worked with/presented to senior finance management
