Job Description

What is my job responsibilities?

  • Concludes sourcing contracts based on customer requirements at the most beneficial conditions
  • Handle pooled categories of indirect materials
  • Implement commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials
  • Ensure usage of company defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).
  • Prepare and lead negotiations to obtain highest feasible productivity result i.e. savings, process improvement
  • Generate, document and implement actions/savings contributing to the success of the business
  • Execute Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, segmentation)
  • Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers to ensure customer care and early involvement
  • Forward timely relevant Procurement related information (e.g. updated contractual conditions, supplier information changes) to keep all stakeholders up to date.
  • Identify procurement risks, opportunities and market forces to avoid potential damage/ exploit potential opportunities through risk and change 
  • Provide analysis for commodity managed
  • Establish supplier relations, resolves supplier conflicts where required
  • Contribute to projects, work groups and the training of new employees in the area of expertise
How can I qualify for this role?

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement 
  • Possesses strong negotiation skills
  • Good facilitation and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS office applications
  • Well verse in English
  • Basic knowledge of contract law
