The Siemens Process Industries and Drives Division helps manufacturers measurably increase productivity and improve time-to-market with our innovative, integrated technology and services. We support our customers in continuously improving the reliability, safety, and efficiency of products, processes and plants.
Participates in developing and implementing semi-complex performance measurement and
improvement initiatives. Participates in making semi-complex inspections and investigations by
gathering data related to proper utilization of company labor, equipment, materials and facilities.
Advises semi-complex planning of equipment layout, workflow, and accidental prevention measures to
maintain optimum and safe utilization of plant resources. Participates in determining the most economic
methods, operation sequence and tooling for the fabrication of parts and finishing/assembly of
components for semi-complex processes. Participates in designing and performing studies of semi-
complex manufacturing processes and equipment. Participates in semi-complex manufacturing
engineer duties, may include plant layout, scrap reduction and quality assurance functions.
Independently performs important areas of standard professional level work that typically requires
processing and interpreting, more complex, less clearly-defined issues. Refers semi-complex, unusual
problems to others. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly-defined problems.
BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
Demonstrates a good grasp of knowledge and principles of field of specialization and applies through successful completion of assignments. Successfully applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.
Typically 2-5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
