Head of Installation Project Management – Healthcare Diagnostics

Come and join our team as Head of Installation Project Management – DI & AT to work as part of our Customer Services Division, leading on the project management for the installations of diagnostic imaging equipment of client sites. 

About the role:

As part of the Customer Services division within Siemens Healthineers, this role leads the Installation Project Management function for diagnostic imaging equipment. Managing a team of Installation Project Managers towards achieving both operational and business improvement targets, whilst achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.  This is an integral role providing direction and guidance to all stakeholders, both internally and externally from sales phase through to system handover and will manage and develop supplier and business partners.

About the team:

The Installation PM team is an integral part of the Healthineers business, interfacing and forming key internal relationships with sales colleagues, customer service engineers, applications specialists and commercial partners. In addition, the job holder will manage and develop relationships with building contractors and business partners. From a customer and clinical system user perspective, the Head of Installations is a point of escalation and problem resolution during the installation phase. There is a need to communicate effectively, with authority, at senior level.

Your mission and responsibilities:

Develop and improve processes and practices, from customer order through to system handover. Oversee all projects, ensuring achievement of targeted project outcomes, intervening and / or coaching when appropriate

Effectively manage a team of Installation Project Managers through adoption and application of People and Leadership practices. Ensure a consistent, engaged, high performing team

Develop key external supplier and installation partner relationships, ensuring quality enhancement and cost reduction, whilst enhancing the value of our customer proposition.

Responsibility for relevant Health and Safety requirements, specifically during delivery and installation works. Ensure appropriate practices, methods and standards are agreed and applied

Act as a business leader, as part of the Customer Services management team. Be a point of contact to advise throughout the opportunity to handover lifecycle, enhancing the readiness for service relationship commencement at the point of handover.

Report consolidated project status and overall results. Feedback lessons learnt and advise of corrective actions and improvement plans.

Your qualifications and experience:

Team management experience with knowledge of the Healthcare diagnostics Industry beneficial or at the very least Project Management from within the NHS or healthcare sector. 

Background or experience in electrical engineering would be valued as would experience in Project Management methodologies and managing projects

Electrical Installations, Project Management

Lead and influence project teams and contributing stakeholders whom are not direct reports

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Good communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to deal with customers and staff at all levels.
