Siemens Mobility is looking for a Commercial Bid Manager
The role of Commercial Project Manager will take financial / commercial responsibilities management in the Bid Phase for national and international Business. Working as the commercial business partner within the Bid Team, the objective is to assure the maximum standards of the offers dealing with all stakeholders involved, and challenging all aspects of the offer but also continually taking care and improving cost to gain award like hood. The role is responsible for quality-compliant commercial bid preparation in terms of contents, timeline and processes. This tasks include the overall responsibility for international Bids, where Spain has the BU Function under NCM.
The role has no direct reports being part of a committed and dedicated team, works closely with existing Site management, reports directly and functionally to the Head of BA Bid.
What are my responsibilities?
Ensures, implements and manages standard policies, processes and procedures and other relevant guidelines during bid phase.
General Commercial Project Management: taking over the full responsibility in this regard with respect to all commercial issues (accounting, tax, customs, logistics, insurances, hedging FX and raw material, guarantees, delegation ) within complex international offers; Commercial Partner to Bid/Sales Manager maximizing accuracy to all cost related.
Ensures compliance with Siemens-FRG plus the local Gaap requirements, international and local contracts Integrates the cost collector into the PBB including all Supplements and Inclusions among Fukos and Ebit.
Cash Flow estimation
Subcontract Management: involvement in both screening of the quotation received and negotiating during bid phase (with Procurement Dept. and Bid/Sales Manager)
Contract & Claim Management: Understand the scope of the documents, commercial elements in detail;
Identify Claim Potential
Risk & Opportunity Management: Review schedules to derive commercial implications or risks; Provide input to risk assessment; Management of mitigation activities
Actively communicates with customer's commercial representatives and manages solving of commercial /finance issues.
Participates in negotiation rounds with potential customer to reach authorization granted by relevant management
Coordinates with Sales/Bid Manager all stakeholder involved in bid phase (HQ, Legal, Compliance, Engineering, Procurement, Delegation Center, Project Execution…) ensuring that the bid team achieves theoffer's deliverable without unnecessary delays. Takes care with Bid Team all milestones throughout EPIQ and LoA tools
Manages and enhances a proper working environment in her/his assigned area.
What do I need to qualify for this role?
Solid international commercial project management and finance experience is a must
Siemens internal guidelines particularly international framework (NCM, BU role…)
Siemens business processes, policies and procedures knowledge, particularly LoA process.
Project planning and structuring
Calculation methods / Finance models / Forecasting
Project controlling (including customs, logistics, and export control)
Accounting principles (IFRS, US GAAP), tax, insurances, Permanent Establishment
Leadership, team work and collaboration skills
Good communication and negotiation skills
Multicultural team working experience
Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish (both written and oral skills)
Availability for travel: must be willing to travel as required by offers in charge
