Join Siemens Smart Infrastructure as a Project Management Delivery Lead which has arisen as a result of growth within our business. 

With your background as a Project Operational Management Professional you will also have experience of delivering multi discipline, integrated projects consisting of multiple technology package projects in utilities, industrial and high-profile commercial space environments.

This is a pivotal role in the team with your key responsibility to lead the delivery of projects in construction related commercial and contractual chains, managing contractual matters both up with the employer’s commercial teams and downwards through our own subcontract supply chain.  Majority of the time you will be required to take responsibility for the implementation of Principle Contractor responsibilities where these are the responsibility of Siemens. 

A brief scope of this role and where your expertise is required (but not limited to):

You will take the lead in managing a portfolio of projects and project teams in the planning, design and execution of projects in accordance with the client specification, agreed contract, programme schedule, Siemens Project Management methodology and quality operating procedures.

  • Manage controllable costs and cash flow via Siemens Project Management tools and systems, and cost to completion forecasts (Ops Packs) to maximise profitability and control working capital.

  • Provide accurate resource forecasts and early visibility of potential risks and delays to the programme by third parties, suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Support the project team in achieving compliance with the Clients requirements and meeting the operational and business objectives of the project.

  • Customer relationship development and management at senior levels within the client organization.

  • Lead by example in the implementation of HS&E processes, procedures, legislation behavioural safety.

Key areas of responsibility will include (but not be limited to):

  • Operational, Financial, Process & Quality Control throughout project life cycle.

  • DLP management, New Project sign off & and Start-up, Design phase operational management.

  • Project Close out and Acceptance.

  • Competency Management, verification of skills.

  • Project Audit processes.

  • Taking the lead role in Client relationship management for the region.

  • Management of all third-party contractors, recruitment of site teams as required and within budget and other business objectives.

  • Manage compliance to contract forms.

  • Ensure full collaboration with the commercial team and other project and non-project departments.

Employers, Contractors & Subcontractors, Procurement, Health & Safety, Quality, Commercial, Document Control, Technical Resources and Senior Management.

Location & Travel:

These opportunities are to be based at our HQ in Frimley.  Travel will be required across the UK therefore a company car forms part of the package on offer.  Travel may include overnight stays.
