The growing demand for photovoltaic solutions and various applications of battery storage devices and medium-voltage grid connections, as well as the growing fleet of electric vehicles, offers growth opportunities for the Future Grid organization within Siemens.

Siemens modular storage system ensures an available and reli­able power supply by charging energy when it’s produced and releasing it when it’s needed. Thanks to power elec­tronics modules that fit to a variety of battery systems, power fluctuations are compensated, thereby improving grid stability and the efficiency of equipment.

When it comes to state-of-the-art power grids, Siemens offers innovative solutions and comprehensive experience across the entire range of electrotechnical equipment for photovoltaic systems, including optimum interconnection of energy storage systems and even complete microgrids. The new electrical Balance of Plant (eBoP) solution for photovoltaic installations enables solar power to be intelligently integrated into the grid. The portfolio includes all electrotechnical equipment needed. Siemens offers complete end-to-end planning, engineering, and financing, all the way to commissioning and service.

Siemens is hiring a Project Engineer to PV and Storage with a Nordic & Baltic responsibility.

The challenge

You will be responsible for the delivery of the different projects in the Nordic & Baltic. You have an important role in coordinating projects within the Future Grid business area. The working tasks are diversified, and you will have a lot of customer contact and dialog as well as with the rest of your colleagues within Siemens Future Grid. You will report to Business area manager for Distribution Systems.

Your background

You will have experience of coordinating technical projects. An education on electrical/automation engineering, engineering work background and proven track record of delivering projects with high quality as your main objective is essential. You will be driven and motivated by achievement of targets and results, with the ability to think “out of the box”, understanding our customer needs and have a collaborative approach to working. 

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English is required, Finnish and Swedish is an advantage.  This opportunity requires travel which may include some overnight stays.
