Business Transformation Manager - HVDC

Job Description

The Business Transformation Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering a transformational change programme of the HVDC organisation to support the achievement and delivery of the division strategy. Key elements of the role will include:

Identify organisational capability requirements based on thorough analysis of current state
Define an overarching change strategy
Design interventions to drive the appropriate culture, behaviours, skills and performance
Provide insight and leadership on change management strategy and implementation

Role & Responsibilities

Collaborate with HVDC team and across business units to develop an overarching change strategy. Key elements to include:

Assess organisation strategy at a BU level and evaluate key organisation development needs against current capacity and capability to deliver
Develop an overarching business transformation strategy and gain support from executive management team
Develop business transformation interventions to address aspects of structure, capability, systems, process, culture, etc and support senior leaders to recognise key ‘levers’ of change
Provide thought leadership to senior & executive management team on methodologies of organisation development and how they can have most impact
Define the organisation wide implementation plan in detail, outlining terms of reference, key deliverables, stakeholders and resource implications
Effectively manage a change process, developing a risk mitigation strategy with senior & executive management
Act as a point of contact between different business units and functions of the organisation
Support the Head of the business unit to engage and challenge management team to understand the rationale for change and to fully support the business transformation strategy
Monitor progress of the change management process, collaborating with existing business excellence community to deliver interventions and drive process improvement

Role Requirements

Academic, professional or vocational qualifications in management and/or leadership are highly advantageous.
Substantial knowledge and experience in business transformation projects / change management projects, covering a breadth of activities
Theoretical and conceptual skills
A good presenter with innovative visualization techniques
Proactive and able to use initiative
Proven influencing skills focused on influencing senior management
Ability to quickly establish credibility and respect to build strong working relationships
Confident with strong decision making skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent organisational skills
Demonstrated commitment to learning through continuous educational development
Persistent
