Business Development Manager - Scotland

Job Description

Are you open to exploring a fantastic new opportunity if we can show you that it’s clearly superior to what you’re doing today?  Are you a tenacious, target-driven Grade-A Business Development Manager and a relentless hunter with a verifiable/successful B2B track record of selling best-in-class "technical value solutions"?  If not, this one’s not for you!  If yes: keep reading as this Business Development Manager (Scotland) role with (a Siemens Company) is waiting for you.

To attract only the best we offer a very competitive salary and bonus scheme. A generous company car allowance/choice, the Siemens pension/highly flexible benefits scheme combined with 28 days holiday (plus Public Holidays).  The benefit of being field based (location flexible, within the Glasgow/Edinburgh catchment area) make this Business Development Manager (Scotland) role, a highly attractive proposition for an ambitious sales professional.

This B2B Business Development Manager role has two main objectives.  You will be judged on profitability and growth via high grade revenue growth from new business and existing key accounts: driving double-digit growth and enhancing Flender UK’s market-leading position!

We don’t believe in defining “the ideal Candidate”!  However, a track record of "consultative solution-selling" is essential.  Your sales toolkit will include a deep understanding of how to identify customer’s business/operational challenges and; the ability to position fresh, creative, industrial solutions that can gain specification within OEM’s and EPC’s and "solve their pain"/deliver ROI.

While there is no specific sector background requirement, you must have a B2B track record that includes the sale of high-value physical products and aftermarket service.  Therefore, exposure to an engineering, manufacturing and/or technology environment (as well as a relevant qualification from that sector) would be highly desirable.

There will be a strong emphasis on penetrating new customer markets with a specific range of gearboxes, couplings and smart monitoring solutions for the industrial sector.

You must have an entrepreneurial approach to selling value and putting the customer at the heart of your decision making as, Flender UK works with Manufacturers and End-Users who are concerned about the growing challenges of plant availability.

Seeking professional sales development?  You bring the "sales DNA", talent, energy and a willingness to learn – Flender UK will do the rest!  A bespoke sales coaching program, combined with great product training, will be wrapped around the successful candidate during an intense on-boarding process (where actual sales will be the furthest thing from our mind as you concentrate on developing relationships and “holding the line” during year one).

While some qualified leads will be supplied, you must be prepared for the ‘hard miles’ of prospecting for new clients through networking, cold calling, internet research, social selling and relevant sales channels.  You will help new customers find solutions to their problems via Flender’s extensive and innovative product portfolio and, engage with existing accounts to ensure that they maximise their exposure to that same product/service range.

You must also satisfy all legal requirements to work in the UK and have a valid driving licence to be considered for this role.  All applicants will be invited to complete an online sales profiling assessment.

The right person will already be thinking: “if that’s all there is to it – how do I apply”?

You know what to do next!  Research Flender and if you like what you see - apply now!
