Working as part of this collaborative and dynamic team, you’ll get hands on experience in marketing and translation right from the start.
We’re looking for students interested in an internship at Siemens with great language capabilities to join this team for a period of maximum one year (depending on the requirements of your University i.e. 3 months, 6 months…), as we look to grow our Marketing Localisation practice in Europe. You’ll work directly on our marketing collateral, checking translations for their quality, style and nuance, and building glossaries and tone of voice guides for our teams. This isn’t just a great chance to use your outstanding linguistic skills; it’s an opportunity to learn marketing fundamental skills, and put them directly into practice in a dynamic, international team. You’ll be mentored by language and marketing experts from several European countries, learning from experts in a wide range of topics as part of our global network. You’ll learn how to weave words into a compelling message, translate complex terminology in straightforward ways, and produce engaging content that can be easily translated and replicated with the right tone and feel. This internship gives you a fantastic platform to launch your career in a few different directions – you might wish to pursue opportunities in marketing, training and learning, or other specialist language roles, and you’ll find them all available at Siemens.
To apply, you’ll need to be bilingual, or as fluent as possible, with a very high proficiency in reading and writing in both English and Polish. We’ll be testing your ability to translate as part of the assessment process for this role, so be prepared to show your fluency, attention to detail and written translation skills if you decide to apply. We’re looking for people with a real passion for language and a keen interest in developing skills in marketing too – perhaps you’ve already explored some fundamentals in this area, but it isn’t a prerequisite to apply. You’ll be able to show us that you’re able to organise and manage your own workload effectively, juggling changing priorities and being proactive in planning your time. You’ll have to solve problems in a collaborative way with your team mates, and share best practices with colleagues around the world, so a team-oriented mind-set is key to being successful in this job. Great listening skills are a must – you’ll be working virtually with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers a lot.
