Bid Project Manager - Open Market (power services)

Job Description

The Bid Project Manager is the person who leads the review of Sales proposals for products and service opportunities to determine bid feasibility and leads the development, editing and writing of proposals as well as other sales related documents according to offer preparation process for Gas-Steam turbines and Generators.

Experience with Gas-Steam Turbines, Generators and aftermarket services

The Bid Project Manager is responsible for the clarification, integrity and completeness of technical and financial scope of the proposal, with particular emphasis on establishing trading terms.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the bid management according to internal processes.
  • Join the customer negotiation with Sales to establish the bid strategy.
  • Setup the bid structure in internal ERP system; align with BA for tax concept and Business model.
  • Prepare sales proposals for products and service opportunities to determine proposal feasibility.
  • Develops a complete understanding of the organization structure and key buying influences of assigned accounts.
  • Maintains customer and distributor contact, providing comprehensive technical product application assistance.
  • Provides management with suggestions for improving volume, market share and price levels.
  • Responsible for validating/endorsing the technical solution.
  • Perform Cost/Risk assessment.
  • Putting the Bid documents together.

Preferable experience:

  • Engineering degree required (Mechanical preferred)
  • English, Arabic, French & German language skills preferred
  • Preferable 5 years Experience in Power Sector (Sales and/or technical department)
  • Experience with Gas-Steam Turbines, Generators and aftermarket services
  • General experience about the Project & Outage management
  • Good experience with processes involved for technical, commercial and legal clarification of an offer.
  • Experience in collaboration with International teams preferred.
  • Experience of collaboration with Siemens Regional Companies and / or external Partners preferred.
