Our R&D department develops technologies for the future of additive manufacturing on an industrial scale. We always focus on specific products and applications in order to develop new products and solutions for the Siemens Business Units. An essential part of our work consists of innovations in the field of plant and control technology as well as in materials engineering.

  • Your thesis will focus on the development of digital manufacturing technologies in the field of subtractive and additive manufacturing

  • First you will learn how to use the Siemens industrial IoT platform

  • Additionally, you will research innovative methods for the analysis and visualization of industrial data records

  • Afterwards you will work on the implementation of your concept as a cloud-based application

  • Validating your approach to additive manufacturing systems could also be part of your responsibility

What you need to make real what matters.

  • You are currently enrolled in a technical or scientific degree, e.g. computer science or engineering sciences

  • Ideally, you have already gained some experience with programming in Python or C#

  • It would be an advantage if you are experienced in web development and cloud environments, e.g. AWS and MindSphere

  • Moreover, you enjoy scientific work and are characterized by a structured and independent way of working

  • Very good written and oral English skills are required, German skills would be an asset
