This is your role. What part will you play?

This role is required to drive growth for the Service arm of the Smart Infrastructure Distribution Systems business. Focused on developing propositions and selling services covering (but not limited to) low voltage switchgear, medium voltage switchgear and distribution transformers.

In addition to driving your own pipeline of opportunities, you will align and work with a wider Smart Infrastructure sales team in selling defined service portfolio by identifying and developing customer opportunities together.

Sales: Drives service sales (proactively / reactively) by identifying and developing customer opportunities based on data analysis and target customers. Defines the service part of the customer strategy. Visits customers to support, consult and drive deals to closure. Maintains responsibility for developing a service-related opportunity pipe-line fully utilising Salesforce CRM tool.

Service Sales & Business Planning: Actively supports service sales planning on account and opportunity level for defined service portfolio in defined region / customer base. Supports the business planning and forecasting processes.

Sales Support: Coordinates technical development of offers, with internal sales support team. Fully understands and negotiates offers with customer. Validates pricing and examines ability to deliver. Accompanies projects during their execution phase to generate follow-up sales and service opportunities.

Marketing: Supports in information collection on customers, market and competitors of his respective Service portfolio in region / accounts. Provides input for marketing (e.g. references) and represents service portfolio in marketing activities.

Knowledge Exchange: Drives regular knowledge exchange on strategy and portfolio with wider SI business and sales team, also works in networks across regions.

  • Experience up to a senior level preferably in a service environment
  • Demonstrable track record of developing sales plans, maintaining customer relationships and achieving targets
  • Ability to be a role model and a coach to our sales support (tendering function) to create an environment that encourages our service business to act in a more entrepreneurial and creative manner
