Job Description

 

Mission/

Position Headline:

Systematic and deep analysis of related Government policies & trends to get insights to support Siemens business strategies; Leverage GA topics and programs to position Siemens, and to create/add values to business growth.

Areas of Responsibilty:

Monitor, analyze and elaborate relevant economic and industrial policies

Monitor and acquire relevant economic and industrial policies from assigned ministries;

Analyze and identify key policy changes and their impacts on Siemens business;

Provide key notes of new policies and well structured articles for GA Monthly Review;

Maintain exchanges with DIV/BU leaders to understand their portfolio and policy issues;

Drive systematic work on key policies, GA topics and issues in alignment with DIV/BU;

Prepare theme report on assigned government policies, GA issues e.g. Energy Efficiency

 

Maintain business-oriented government relations

Identify key stakeholders and develop target GR plan e.g. stakeholder mapping, connection list;

Establish business relation with Siemens e.g. portfolios, policy issues and interests;

Acquire business intelligence e.g. initiative, projects and share back to DIV/BU and Regions;

Participate in business impactful external official meetings and events;

Arrange and coordinate high-profile government related visits and meetings;

Prepare briefing documents including background info and speech notes in case;

Create and implement value-adding GA program together with DIV/BU e.g. training, MoU;

Monitor major moves of main competitors government-related activities

 

Support business growth by leveraging government resources

Bridge relevant government contacts to DIV/BU and Regions in case of needs;

Help to establish customers' relations for DIV/BU through government resources, platforms;

Support DIV/BU on business event/activities e.g. inviting government speakers

 

Maintain internal business data, regular reviews and team spirit

Maintain GR databank with required standards e.g. D-level, MoM etc.

Complete reports of business reviews e.g. Task Summary, policy matrix in a concise manner

Share business knowledge and insights openly with candor

Pro-actively deliver additionally assigned tasks that not mentioned in the job description

Internal:

1) Responsible business leaders and colleagues in assigned Divisions/corporate units defined/Regional areas;

2) HQ colleagues for assigned business topics and issues e.g. Energy efficiency;

External:

1) Government officials of defined central authorities and institutions                

2) Selected customers/authorizes to be identified

 

Education and Experience

What experience and education does the incumbent need for this function?

 

Experience 

3-5 years of relationship management with government authorities, or within an industrial sector e.g. Energy;                                                                                                                                                

Strong interpersonal and influential skill;

Impact consultancy and driving by values;                                                                                                  

2-3 years of working experiences in multinational companies.

 

Education & Training

 

Bachelor degree or above

 

Additions/Comments

 

General understanding of Siemens portfolios and markets

Good analytical & communication skill;

Understanding of Chinese Government process/ thinkings;

Good command of English;

Computer skills with MS office systems.
