Portfolio Development is a key part of our corporate go-to-market strategy. Our PFD Executives lead the EMEA go-to-market strategy in a product area, with a goal to maximise revenues from this Siemens Portfolio, working closely with country organisations on developing regional plans and driving sales pursuits. With the focus on growth, we’ve taken the step of adding some new positions in the PFD team to support the portfolio of Simcenter products, and develop our business sales strategy and plans to turn this into revenue.
Engineering companies increasingly need to predict
real-world performance of their products using simulation tools that capture
all of the physics that influence product efficiency and performance including
those that cross the boundaries of traditional engineering disciplines. To
improve your product you need to be able to predict how performance changes in
response to multiple parametric design changes.
Specifically, SimcenterTM has a leading set of multi-physics solutions based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) allowing simulation of flow and thermal behaviour of products and designs that operate in real-world conditions. These tools include STAR-CCM+, FloTHERM and FloEFD which helps companies to innovate by driving automation, design exploration and optimization allowing exploration of the entire design space instead of focusing on single point design scenarios.
What you’ll be doing
As a Portfolio Development Executive, you advocate and drive the development of the portfolio all the way through the identification of a clear target market and go to market strategy, and the execution of campaign and initiative-centered strategies to leverage and maximise software opportunities. It’s down to you to establish clear market positions for the TASS portfolio, understanding what problems we are solving, and the business value delivered to customers, so that we build a compelling sales message. PFD Executives have a really deep understanding of the industry – you’ll be the first to spot and track trends, and you’ll know what our competitors are doing and why. You’ll use this knowledge to build real differentiation into our plans and strategies, and identify key opportunities to pursue across EMEA, defining the industry and country accounts we want to target and setting appropriate targets and goals to monitor our growth.
You will be working with our Sales Orchestrators to build strategic plans for identified customers and opportunities in the target market to deliver the go-to-market strategy and help our sales partner team to target and enable partners to support incremental portfolio growth opportunities too. You are a trusted advisor to Sales, Business Development, and PreSales teams by providing direct engagement with customer, as part of the sales pursuit team, for key must-win account, and you will mentor the field sales and presales teams on demand generation and pursuits. Supporting our marketing teams across the zone, you’ll ensure that the global roadmap for TASS campaigns, initiatives and services are widely understood and you’ll share feedback and insight to help build success for the future. You’ll also collaborate with our Learning & Development teams to design and deliver targeted enablement activities for our sales teams.
The skills and experience you need
We want to hire people who have real expertise in engineering software solutions, and can articulate the value of products and services in the context of an industry or client business. You’ll come from a background in a quota or target carrying role, with success in customer facing or business development roles to draw on. You’ll be someone who thrives on targets and goals and knows how to develop strategies to meet them. Proactive, energetic and with a high level of self-motivation, you make things happen and you’re at your best when you’re collaborating with sales teams and partners. You’ll be great at establishing valuable relationships with customers – specifically CPOs and CFOs and you’ll be a credible and authentic communicator.
You’ll need to come with industry knowledge and if you’ve got some experience of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) we definitely want to hear from you. You don’t have to come from a technical background, but you’ll need a foundation in industrial software and if you’ve had any roles in the past where you’ve had a technical responsibility, it might be an advantage.
This role will take you across the EMEA region, and you’ll need to commit to travelling away from home frequently. We make it as easy as possible with great travel booking tools and the flexibility to work at home when you’re not away, but you can expect to visit clients and customers all over Europe and the Middle East as part of your job.
