IT Business Analyst

Job Description

Join Siemens Financial Services as an IT Business Analyst in our IT team in Stoke Poges and help us develop, deliver and maintain business applications to meet agreed Service Levels and governance or compliance requirements.


What part will you play:


  • Manage and support system developments as required by designing and configuring to agreed specifications, testing and documenting. Working with 3rd party consultants to develop systems as per business requirements.

  • Provide proactive maintenance and support in conjunction with Support/Systems teams with an aim to ensure no unplanned down time of business applications. Ensure all current known activities are documented and any changes performed in accordance with agreed change management procedures. Responsible for ensuring all documents are available in agreed libraries to audit standards.

  • Resolve incidents as required and carry out Service Requests/Operational Tasks including diligent release management and testing in accordance with IT Service Management standards.

  • Actively support business and service continuation including incident management and resolution through to Business Continuity Management (BCM)  assisting with BCM testing and or invocation.

  • To continually look to increase process improvement including actively identifying new opportunities to increase process and economic efficiency within the team.

  • Maintain customer satisfaction through demonstrable high quality customer support and services, routinely seeking and acting on feedback.

  • To ensure system compliance including system security (CERT), and adherence to FSA, ITGC requirements and other applicable internal and external standards or requirements including providing reporting and appropriate communication as required.


What we're looking for:


  • Experience in a technical support role with business process and system architecture.

  • Experience using financial applications, systems & platforms

  • ITIL V3 qualification or demonstrable considerable relevant experience.

  • Analysis skills and ability to prioritise and manage own time.

  • Highly self driven and motivated, able to work alone or as part of a busy geographically virtual team, demonstrable willingness to assist colleagues and support team members in achieving goals and objectives.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Experience using Microsoft Operating System Support skills (Especially Windows 7) and Microsoft Office applications (especially MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
