Software Engineer / Developer (C++, Linux)

Job Description


Our Process Applications R&D team is looking for an experienced software developer for cutting edge industrial automation products.

You will take major part in designing and developing a unique firmware for common interfaces, chipsets, and communication protocols.

You will also implement features to support hardware testing and diagnosis.

This is a multi-functional role where you will work closely with various global teams, like Research, System Testing and Network Computing Kernel. This environment is fast paced and iterative and requires independent learning and go getter attitude.

Area of Responsibility:

Designing and implementing a unique firmware for hardware device supporting multiple sensors, and real-time data collection and pre-processing.

Evaluating and making recommendations such as adoption of new tools and technologies.

Working closely with other stakeholders including hardware developers to constantly improve real-time data acquisition capabilities.

End to end development and integration: from data acquisition to dashboards visualization and/or cloud-based apps.

Education and Training:

University Bachelor’s or engineering Degree in Computer Sciences or Industrial Engineering.

Minimum 3 years of proven experience as near real-time / real- time / on- board software developer

Experience with Linux and/or real-time OS, proficiency in C++; Python, JavaScript and HTML – an advantage.

Strong programming skills and understanding of system design scalability and security.

Experience with networking on Linux and/or real-time OS; OPC UA a big advantage.

Self-motivated, result-oriented, fast learner with excellent communication skills, who enjoys programming and solving complex problems.
