Job Description

Key responsibilities of the Role - Vertical Sales  

Analyzes and evaluates markets and needs of potential or existing customers & maximize extraction from the assigned vertical’s potential customer for the complete portfolio of Siemens.

Prepares customer contacts, builds and maintains a customer focused network in order to develop customer and industry / vertical market expertise systematically

Investigates & evaluates specific business opportunities for solutions by analyzing mid-term investments of customers in this industry / vertical market.

Be an Account Manager for the identified Focused accounts and Focus Projects & Plans sales volumes and potential of customers group

Regular interface with Global Account Manager & Country Account Manager to share strategic information about respective customers & collaborate

Supports customers directly in cost/benefits analyses and calculations in order to demonstrate specific advantages of using Siemens equipment & solutions.

Keen knowledge of assigned vertical in terms of market leads, competitors etc.

Prepares and negotiates projects and proposals in cooperation with other involved professionals and management

Coordinates the realization of assignments, may coordinate and contribute to set up respective product developments, projects or services programs for the customer. To generate market leads independently and create market opportunities

To prepare & implement Account business plan for Focus accounts in association with other stakeholders.
Completes sales and revenue related key reporting.
Contributes to the development of an After Sales Service that is focused on customers' needs

Provides information via CRM for forecasts and planning.


Proven Solution Sales, Value selling & customer account management experience min 5-7 years.

Engineering graduate with knowledge of automation, Instrumentation & drives product & application. Knowledge of power electricals will be added advantage

Basic domain knowledge of Minerals (Cement & Mining), Marine, Fiber, O&G (Onshore / Offshore) etc. along-with relevant market knowledge

Proven Negotiation & interpersonal skills with ability to close deals successfully on a win-win situation
