The Role:

The Mentor (A Siemens PLM Software Business) European Strategic team is looking for a dynamic, motivated and focused sales executive to manage and drive our business and partnership with one of our largest customers worldwide.

Our team is focused on the top accounts for Mentor Europe who have the potential to grow further due to market and industry dynamics such as 5G, Automotive, IOT and Machine Learning/Data Science.

The client in question is in our top 3 in Europe with the potential to grow further over the next 2 to 3 years. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to progress their sales career across Mentor and the whole of Siemens DIS.


This role involves uncovering new opportunities and closing business on a regular bases. You will be able to work globally within the customer and within the organisation to maximise our depth and breadth across the account.

This role is visible across Mentor WW and Siemens DIS WW as the customer you will be supporting is seen as a leading account across the world for the business we get as well as the strong partnership with mutual customer.

The ideal profile for the vacancy:

  • You will have experience in the EDA, Semiconductor or Software industry.

  • Honours Degree in engineering and a business level degree, MBA ideal.

  • You consistently exceed expectations and exceed yearly sales goals.

  • Leadership skills across worldwide teams, divisions and customers.

  • Experience of coaching others within a team and outside their team

  • Cross cultural understanding to managed accounts on a WW basis

  • Have previous experience of putting together and executed 3 year account plans.

  • Familiar with Focus Selling, Target Account selling and Challenger sale techniques.

  • Have negotiated directly complex multi-year proposals with global customers.

  • Have been on a number of continuously professional development courses and workshops to improve their sales approach.

  • You will possess Growth Mindset, Embrace change Intensity, Focus, Beating the Competition, Openness and Honesty

  • Excellent communication to ensure everyone within the team is clear on the goals and direction they are going.

Experience we are looking for:

  • Have achieved significant growth of the global accounts managed

  • Have managed a global team focused on sales growth.

  • Developed 3 year account plans which have been executed effectively and resulted in results that have exceeded targets.

  • Have management and leadership experience.

  • Have developed business plans, setting goals and strategy for global accounts.

  • Have delivered business insights to the accounts served

  • Have coached their team at all stages of the sales process to ensure repeatable success.

  • Advocate for change within their organisation. Adopt new practices and approaches all the time.

  • Worked at the CEO/CxO level.

  • Drive deep and broad across large accounts.

  • Experience of managing a complex account with many projects and sites worldwide.

  • Grown new technologies across customers and have being creative to establish new revenue streams and continuous business.

  • Develop service level engagements based on the outcomes customers are looking for.

  • Change Management – Embrace change and are able to motivate teams during times of change.

  • Can build strong relationships internally and externally that span companies.

  • Manage forecasting, pipeline management, account planning and sales uncovering.
