What is this opportunity?

As Senior Building Automation Solutions Sales Rep, you will provide highly technical Automation Sales to niche market by providing Siemens Integrated Building Solutions and helping society improve the quality of life. In this role, you will travel across the assigned region.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate with Siemens team members to develop opportunities within the assigned accounts, vertical markets and / or geographical territories.
  • Educate and promote the Siemens Offerings to the construction market that includes: Architects, Engineers, Mechanical Contractors, General Contractors, Developers, Property Managers and Building Owners.
  • Identify, reach, and engage key decision makers and influencers through social media, networking, personal connections, client references, and industry events.
  • Develop a healthy sales funnel by converting leads into well-qualified opportunities.
  • Support management with strategic planning and forecasting. Research, develop and maintain competitive information resources. With the support of your Manager, you will prospect for and acquire new building controls, incorporating Siemens offerings which includes Enlighted IoT platform, Comfy and Integrated Building Solutions for Smart Buildings.
  • Develop account management plans for assigned customers or territories, take advantage of all sales opportunities with the customer by adding value proposition to their needs.
  • Qualify prospects, perform needs assessments, engage estimators, technical experts, home office team to develop sales proposals meeting the requirements of complex technical.
  • Work with operations finance legal and other inside outside resources as needed to obtain and close sales opportunities.
  • Follow through on sold projects to ensure satisfactory completion; participate in sales to operations turnover; work with the project team when required to provide solutions during execution and monitor progress.
Qualifications:

What will you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with an emphasis in Engineering, Business Administration or a technical field experience related to Building Automation.
  • Minimum 2 years’ successful related sales experience, including good knowledge of construction industry.
  • Medium to high related technical building automation knowledge is strongly preferred and financial expertise.
  • Aptitude to learn and competently use company estimating tools, as well as gain an understanding of value engineering and related contractual concepts.
  • Excellent negotiation verbal and written communication skills, including ability to interact with all levels of a customer's organization.
  • Self-motivated and strong time management skills.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel within territory.
