                                 Vice President, Contracts and Corporate Governance


The Vice President, Contracts and Corporate Governance, Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SGT and will be a key business partner and leader in the SGT organization. This role will be accountable for legal, contracts and compliance and industrial security/facilities functions within SGT and will provide support to other Siemens companies as they conduct business with the US Federal Government.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Provide the organization with Counsel on all aspects of government prime and sub contracts, including compliance with all applicable regulations including but not limited to, intellectual property/data rights, export controls, industrial security, foreign ownership, labor standards and termination provisions;


Ensure continued compliance with the FAR, particularly recent changes and reporting requirements   and coordinate with the entire Siemens group of operating companies; through various methods to include training to internal customers regarding regulatory and compliance matters.


Serve as the subject matter expert and be responsible for all aspects regarding an SSA organization that include but aren’t limited to; DSS related activities, FOCI compliance matters, and the coordination and advisement of all activities for the BOD Government Security Committee


Lead and develop the SGT Legal and Contracts organization to partner with SGT and other Siemens organizations on key Federal regulations, requirement and negotiations


Manage efforts requiring litigation, claims or disputes directly or through a panel of outside counsel that is properly vetted for SGT’s potential needs with the appropriate fee arrangements

Serve as the corporate secretary of the Board of Directors.

Preferred experience and capabilities:

Ideal candidate will have demonstrated a successful track record leading a contracts and compliance organization at companies of similar size and complexity of SGT.


Possess deep knowledge of government business, including subcontract and/or contract review, negotiation and administration to include fixed price, time and material and cost reimbursable contracts skills; experience in dispute resolution and procedures relating to government contracting.

Detailed working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and major agency supplements (DFARS, DEAR, GSAM, HSAR and TAR)

Possess a basic knowledge of Foreign Ownership and Control Issues (FOCI) and relevant regulations for national security (NISPOM) including special security arrangements. 

Candidate must be a collaborative leader who is a strong communicator and team player.  Must have demonstrated the ability to successfully work in a complex matrix environment where the ability to influence others is key.

Security Clearance:
Must be US citizen and will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the Top Secret level.
