Baseline Requirements:

Engineering Consulting Services

Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is an organization within Siemens PLM responsible for creating custom tools for Siemens PLM Software implementation engineers. The Product Driven Services team creates tools for services personnel to design, implement, and test complex data migration and data mapping problems around the globe. These tools are developed using the Eclipse IDE for Java developers. In ECS you will play a key role in developing Java solutions from conception to production. In ECS you will proactively:

  • ·       Develop start-from-scratch Java tools to aid Siemens PLM Software implementation engineers worldwide
  • ·       Discover all aspects of software architecture, design, and development
  • ·       Drive projects in Java, XML, XSLT, the Eclipse Rich Application Client framework, and database mapping concepts

Organization Requirements:

  • ·       Studying for a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • ·       Strong coding skills in Object-Oriented programming (preferably Java)

Sales and Services

Americas Services – Internal Training

As part of the Professional Services Internal Training team, you will collaborate with Consultants, Product Architects, Solution Architects, Project Managers, Industry Experts, Orchestrators, Sales managers and Product Development teams to ensure our employees have access to the training support they need to be successful in their roles. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with the Services team to capture and develop content for Americas Services Consultants, PreSales and Sales Delivery Orchestrators
  • Support data gathering requirements to develop customer, employee and process biographies
  • Build interactive orchestration model website to support companywide training
  • Develop data gathering tools to support the ongoing day to day maintenance of new hire and existing employee biography update
  • Support Zone wide training event efforts including registration, logistics and documentation for the Americas Consulting Conference
  • Engage and consult with new acquisition management to establish existing training content and identify training needs
  • Support logistics and requirements for ongoing internal training programs such as Genesis, SAPL and Advantage
  • Collaborate within a team to estimate, plan and schedule deliverables and tasks

Organization Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled as a University of Cincinnati undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • Swift programming or swift application development strongly preferred
  • Comfortable with using web based development tools such as Sharepoint or PHP with a webserver such as Apache or JBoss
  • Exposure to Javascript or Python is beneficial
  • Good communication skills and ability to provide status updates on a regular basis
  • A self-starter with strong communication skills

Information Technology

In this role, you will become immersed in application development and support activities for our online marketing digital experiences, as part of our IT Marketing Applications group. We work directly with our Marketing Digital Platforms organization to build, deliver, and support web sites and applications that provide end-to-end digital experiences for our customers and prospects and self-service capabilities to our internal business users. We are responsible for every aspect of the software development lifecycle and we make heavy use of automation for builds and deployments, following agile development practices. You will champion projects that allow you to:

  • Contribute to building self-service web applications to be used by our internal business clients
  • Contribute to building end-to-end digital experiences for our end users
  • Work on a team in an agile development environment
  • Work collaboratively with internal business clients to understand their needs and build solutions to address them
  • Work with on-premise and cloud technology (e.g. AWS)
  • Produce and consume APIs
  • Work with structured and unstructured content in traditional and headless CMS
  • Work in the full stack (front-end, back-end, DevOps)
  • Continuously reflect with your teammates to drive continuous improvement

Organization Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a university pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or a related field
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Result-driven, detail-oriented
  • Eager learner and team player
  • Works well under pressure

  • Working knowledge of Javascript, HTML5, CSS3
  • Working knowledge of server-side Javascript (e.g. Node.js) is preferred but not required
