Customer Service Representative - Manufacturing

Job Description


Siemens Industry is looking for a Customer Service Representative for our Pomona, CA manufacturing facility. Our growing facility has more than one hundred employees that produce high-quality, make-to-order power distribution equipment for the western United States market. Our processes include material handling, metal fabrication, final assembly and test. Customer service representative is responsible for managing customer requests, scheduling orders and acts as a link between the customer and internal operations to exceed customer expectations.

·        Schedule orders based on lead time, capacity and materials availability.

·        Drives production meeting and coordinate manufacturing schedule to ensure promised delivery dates are met.

·        Ability to review and analyze BOM, drawings and customer specs.

·        Manage and coordinate customer changes.

·        Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.

·        Prepare product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.

·        Contribute to overall delivery reliability performance.Manage Return Material Authorizations.Manage large amounts of incoming calls/emails.

·        Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction 

·        Work with customer service manager to ensure proper customer service is being delivered.

·        Prepare product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information. Contribute to overall delivery reliability performance. 

·        Manage Return Material Authorizations as well as large amounts of incoming calls/emails. 

·        Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction  

·        Work with customer service manager to ensure proper customer service is being delivered.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

1.     2+ years of experience in customer services

2.     Candidate must have prior experience working in a customer service role for a manufacturing company.

3.     Candidate must have high school diploma or GED. Associates or Bachelors' degree, particularly in Business Administration is preferred.

4.     Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel). 

5.     Well organized and excellent problem-solving skills.

6.     Ability to maturely handle confidential issues with discretion and diplomacy. 

7.     Ability to work independently as all as in a team environment.

8.     Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

9.     Proactive at executing daily tasks and achieving long-term goals. 

10.  Passionate commitment to the company vision.

11.  Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.

Not required but a plus:

1.     APICS Certification is a plus

2.     Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus

3.     Microsoft Access is a plus

4.     Excel Macros is a plus

Candidates must be located locally to be considered for this role. Relocation package will not be provided.
