BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
This is not an Electrician or Pure SW Engineer role but an Electronics Engineer - Designer - who draws schematics electronics portion of new product design - that makes electronics in device work.
An electronics engineer is needed for new instrument development and current product support.
The person chosen for this position will be involved in all phases of electronics engineering. These
tasks include the creation of requirements, specifications, electronic subsystem designs, and the verification of performance.
The candidate will be responsible for design transfer to manufacturing and for continuing product maintenance.
The work scope will include the design of analog, digital, microprocessor circuitry as well as electronic system component selection.
All circuit design will be biased by our strict regulatory EMC environment.
The person chosen for this position, must be able to work both independently, as well as in cross functional teams.
He or she should possess a hands-on practical approach to problem solving.
This position requires a BSEE/ET degree with 3 - 5 years of experience. Electronic design skills should include
schematic capture, LabView system design, and general Windows/Web based tool usage. Of added benefit
a candidate would possess prior skills in using the following design tools:
Mentor Graphics Expedition
Mentor Graphics PADS
Altera Quartus
Verilog Language
Knowledge of sound EMI-RFI design techniques and signal integrity would be a plus.
Good writing and communication skills are necessary.
