Product Marketing Manager

Job Description

The Plasma Protein Marketing Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective development and implementation of marketing strategies and programs for the dedicated plasma protein product portfolio.  The Manager is the key contact on all matters pertaining to their instrument/reagent portfolio and must work with sales, commercial operations, overall US Marketing, and other departments to ensure all strategic imperatives are met for the product line.  The Marketing Manager maintains product and market knowledge to ensure successful strategies and supporting tactics.  The Marketing Manager develops and maintains business relationships with key opinion leaders in the market and monitors industry developments and follow market changes via market research, sales calls and analysis of competitive information.

Development and implementation of dedicated plasma protein strategies to achieve portfolio sales and profit targets.  Forecasts sales and units on a regular basis.  Work closely with US plasma protein sales team and global counterparts to ensure effective product line strategies and implementation.

Provides direction to, motivates and works closely with the sales teams and support groups on a consistent basis.  Plans and assists in training programs for instrument training of various sales teams.

First level of approval in the Limits of Authority guidelines  pertaining to the specific instrumentation deals.

Plans and executes launch and support of new plasma protein instrument initiatives.

Identifies data reporting needs and works with marketing analytics and other cross-functional teams to create and provide regular reporting of key sales performance metrics, and to provide actionable targeted information to sales force. 

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree with a discipline in Medical Technology is preferred. Experience in the health care industry is required with preferably 5 years technical experience with Plasma Proteins/Clinical Chemistry. Sales and/or marketing experience is desirable.

This position requires excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization as well as external customers. Must have logical thinking and analytical ability as well as proficient in MS office suite (excel, ppt etc.).
