Design and lead research and investigations pertaining to the development of clinical chemistry, immunoassays and calibration systems, working collaboratively with team members to complete projects on time.
Develop assay calibration and standardization schemes.
Conduct design verification/validation studies according to quality procedures and prepare data summaries for regulatory submissions to the regulatory agencies.
Will work as part of an interdisciplinary R&D Team in the development of both assays and calibrators
Assist in the transfer of designs into the manufacturing processes.
Support troubleshooting efforts on commercial assays and calibrators as well as products under development.
Strong experience in developing processes, test methodologies associated with in vitro diagnostic assay and calibrator solutions, including traceability, uncertainty and standardization processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biochemistry, clinical chemistry, medical devices, and chemistry.
Broad knowledge of chemistry/biochemistry, proteins, immunology, buffer systems, enzymes, surfactants, preservatives and particle surface chemistry, statistical analysis, design of experiments and six sigma techniques.
Must be able to participate in and lead interdisciplinary and technical teams
Perform data analysis and write internal reports and documentation
Candidate must be flexible and demonstrate the ability to change priorities to meet business needs.
Good communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast paces environment are essential.
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Work, PowerPoint, etc) and statistical software
