It is our vision to be the customers' first choice for distributed power generation and compression systems solutions We are recruiting for a Proposals Manager in the Sales and Marketing function of the SDO (Service Distributed Generation and Oil&Gas) Business Unit in the Siemens Gas and Power Services Division. This position will lead the proposals team (Spare part and standard business) based at Siemens Thailand office. The position reports to the Head of Sales, GP SDO


What are my responsibilities?
  • The Proposal Manager is Solely Accountable for all Technical and Commercial elements forming the proposal/Quotation and has a responsibility for ensuring the associated successful sale and order intake. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Understanding Customer needs and business drivers and translating these drivers into a coherent Sales Strategy
  • The evaluation of Customer requests for quotations and the formulation of technically and commercially compliant and competitive proposals
  • Preparing appropriate proposal/quotation cost and margin analysis, project and business risk analysis, bid approval and handover documentation as required by the Business Approval Authorities
  • The preparation and presentation of proposal documentation for the Product Line and the Customer
  • Lead proposal/spare parts team for the Gas Turbine/Steam Turbine/Compressor products
  • Management of the bid preparation process under PM@Siemens and sub processes & tools
  • Management of the project handover process to project execution in the Region and Business Unit
  • Responsible in Price Agreement with key customers and seek for business simplification and drive for Order Entry growth

What do I need to qualify for this job?
  • Relevant experience preferably with gas turbines service sales & proposals.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business related
  • Proposal Management Engineering experience in the Oil and Gas, Power Generation or Service Industry.
  • Excellent communicator both verbal and written at all levels (internal and external)
  • Strong Analytical and computer skills
  • Strategic thinker
  • Willingness to work flexibly

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • Strong customer focus and passion for delivery
  • Ability to work within a large matrix organization
  • Fluent in Thai and English to respond to internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of international, cross cultural sales would be an advantage
  • A working knowledge of commercial terms and conditions for services is preferred
