Service Operations Manager - Digital Services

Job Description

Siemens has an exciting opportunity for a Service Operations Manager to join our Smart Infrastructure Regional Solutions and Services (formerly Building Technologies) team based in Bayswater, Victoria. This role will be responsible for leading a team of subject matter experts to drive all digital service activities, innovation through strategic customer engagement to ensure the effective delivery of appropriate portfolio and resources. This role governs, supports and represents the service activities of the business to achieve maximise value driven results.

As the Service Operations Manager, you will be required to lead, drive, promote and develop the digital services competencies and to ensure our vision and strategy is successful achieved. 

You will be measured on digital service business volume and digital value adding outcomes. The role leverages (central and branch) resources and is supported by the Digital Service Centre (DSC) which is head quartered in in Singapore.

The Service Operations Manager will support and employ methodologies (includes customer perspectives, industry trends, competitive analysis, and technology disruptions) to create holistic service offerings, and enable customers to discover and understand how they can best apply digital transformation to achieve their business objectives. 

The successful candidate will lead and manage the team operations, and activities, develop and implement a Digital Service strategy in coordination with Pacific Zone Head and Business line Heads. You will be required to promote the digitalization strategy, drive organizational change and communicate our vision, partner with Sales, Information Security, Engineers and other stakeholders to assist in the design, communication and implementation of Services, Standards and Processes, as well as develop opportunities for digital services, provide pre-sales / consulting support, and remove organizational barriers to ensure collaboration and excellent service delivery.

In order to be considered for this opportunity you will be required to demonstrate successful digital operational experience in either strategy consulting, digital sales/business development or digital services management. 

Excellent influencing and networking skills, paired with stakeholder management experience in a multi-layered environment are a must, as well as holding a strong affinity for digital solutions and the use of digital technologies to transform business models and provide new value-producing opportunities. Operational experience in service, consulting, strategic planning and sales-related functions is an advantage, and an understanding the building services market, its challenges, trends and competitors are desirable.
