Manage the building automation service business:


• Balance financial metrics with employee and customer needs

• Submit financial forecasting information monthly

• Maintain and improve planned and executed margins for Service projects, maintenance agreements and Time & Material agreements

• Provide technical and operational support for the sales teams, including proper pricing and scope-of-work definition for Service project opportunities


Lead a Team Field HVAC (Controls) Technicians and Union Mechanics:


• Proactively forecast labor needs and costs to exceed our customer commitments

• Build and maintain an effective operations organization committed to customer and employee satisfaction with a goal of profitable growth

• Manage or advise on hiring, training, development, allocation, and performance assessment of personnel within area of responsibility. Assist branch with training and development of operations personnel including training on use of financial reports

• Develop manpower schedules and project loading to ensure contract completion in an efficient and profitable manner

• Conduct one-on-one reviews with direct reports to help develop each individual’s potential on the team

• Identify and support training and development for staff

• Participate in or facilitate representation for the Project Manager to Field Work Force Project Turnovers, and the Solutions to Service Project Turnovers


Project Manager – Service Projects:


• Complete cost reviews with sales

• Participate on job walks and estimating.

• Provide technical support, expertise, leadership and accountability for installed projects.

• Communicate regularly with customers through all phases of the work we perform for them.

• Actively coordinate startup activity schedules with the Field personnel, Project Managers, Engineering and Operations Supervisors to ensure correct staffing and correct abilities are provided to meet individual project schedules and commitments. Prioritize schedules and effectively assign available resources.



• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field strongly desired, however, candidates with a minimum of a High school diploma or state-recognized GED, along with directly related experience will also be considered

• Required experience: Five years of Building system industry experience specifically, Commercial HVAC mechanical service and HVAC Controls & Energy management systems. Other low voltage building systems such as Security and/or Fire Life safety systems would be very beneficial.  

• Required Experience: Two years of management experience within the Building Automation industry or similar such as Commercial Facilities Management

• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and Project

• Excellent communication skills

• A thorough understanding of project management processes

• Must be able to work in the U.S. without a need for current or future sponsorship

• Must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing and be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan

• Must live within a 45 mile commute to Corning, NY or be willing to relocate within a 45 mile radius of Corning, NY
