Senior Product Engineer - ANEMA Motors

Job Description

Specific Requirements 

Electrical Engineering: analysis of motor test results, design of induction motors, creation of Bills of Material, creation of motor performance documents, support of manufacturing departments, marketing quotation engineering, and coordination of projects to implement product enhancements. Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering required. A practical knowledge of VFD applications, insulation design, power systems design, air flow and heat transfer preferred.

Job Family Responsibilities:

Responsible to support providing material specification, schematic preparation and appropriate follow-up. Coordinates motor design, documentation, testing and modifications of solutions. Provides guidance in preparing explanations and clarifies information to enable proper interpretation and evaluation of routine specifications, performance characteristics or other technical data. Assists in communicating technical and commercial issues clearly. Assist in recommending new designs, new processes, or design changes to meet requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs tasks and functions for professional field of work. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from others. Identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem can vary in difficultly or complexity. Provides analysis of motor test results, takes appropriate steps to provide solutions or resolutions to problems with the motor or questions from the customers.

Education:

BS/BA in Electrical Engineering, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge and Experience:

Demonstrates an effective knowledge of professional principles and skills. Effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Typically up to 5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.

Familiarity with industrial specs (IEEE 112, 841; NEMA MG-1; IEC 60034)

Knowledge of motor testing is preferred

Contacts are primarily with immediate manager and others in the group.
