PSE Site Manager

Position Overview
This position will report to the Head of Construction and BOP, the Site Execution for Onshore North America. The organization is responsible for project implementation of wind turbine projects ranging from 50 to 500 MW in North America. The site manager will have primary responsibility for all site related activities for the projects that they are assigned to manage. The typical site team consist of technical field advisors, quality technicians, environmental health and safety specialists, material / logistics technicians, composite and coating repair specialists, commissioning and troubleshooting specialists.
The site manager is responsible for running the daily meetings, producing the daily report. Responsible for the weekly time sheets of personnel assigned to the site. Interfacing with the project manager, transportation engineers, engineering department, quality department, and service. The signing of unit completion certificates and the handover to service process.
• Responsible for organizational site setup and daily management on site
• Overall responsible for the site organization, site administration setup and general site facilities
• Overall responsible for communication internally and externally
• Ensure financial control of the project
• Overall EHS responsible on site
• Responsible for executing project targets/milestones
• Responsible for efficient implementation of the project in compliance with customer and subcontractor contracts
• Responsible for monitoring parts, equipment and tools on site
• Responsible for ensuring that installation work is performed in agreement with QA regulations/standards of SWP
• Responsible for continuous improvements on site and participate in and support business improvement programs
• The employee is obligated to keep him- or herself informed of the QA system and the procedures related to the position and to work in accordance with the requirements defined in the QA system
• The employee is obligated to keep him- or herself informed of the Siemens Process House and the procedures related to the position and to work in accordance with the requirements defined in the Siemens Process House
• The employee is obligated to keep him- or herself informed of the procedures relevant to the position. This includes waste sorting and handling of chemicals in the work area. The employee is obligated to react on observed nonconformities to the written procedures and to contribute to the improvement of the environment

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Ideal candidates will have practical wind turbine erection and commissioning field experience along with education. Prior site management experience in self perform, equipment only, and EPC projects by an OEM is desired. Successful candidates should also have international construction commissioning experience in wind turbine projects.
Skills in Microsoft Office a must. Experience with Siemens Gamesa quality and nonconformance reporting systems desired.

• English orally and in writing
• Excellent communication skills
• Management, including coaching and mentoring
• Good cultural understanding

Required Education and skills:
High school diploma/GED
5+ yrs. post high school in technical role
5+ years of experience as a TFA or Wind Turbine Erector.
5+ years of experience in Site/Construction Management of Wind Farm Construction/Erection

Preferred Education and experience:
Software: MS suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), PDF
Associates degree
Journeyman-Electrician or Millwright
Military - Aircraft mechanic/gas turbine/steam turbine/electrohydraulic mechanics
Wind Tech school
Vocational electrician/welder/advanced auto repair
2 yrs. international experience in a technical role
