Multi Task Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Join our manufacturing team as Multi Task Machine Operator to help us provide quality products that make a difference. In this role you will efficiently program, setup, and operate various CNC multi-task machines to produce parts conforming to all blueprint tolerances, specifications, and requirements.  You will become a member of the local union and assigned to work on 2nd shift at our Olean, New York facility.

 

What are your responsibilities? 

  • Locate, read, interpret, understand, and follow required paper and/or electronic production documentation as well as part drawings including GD&T and any referenced specifications, standards, or special instructions.
  • Understand, calculate, and use proper machining technique and machine cutting parameters based on the material, tooling, and other variables to safely produce quality parts, efficiently.
  • Utilize the machine control or separate terminal to generate programs for machining and/or gauging of parts as needed.
  • Complete a skills competency test before being released from training.
  • Attain and hold quality system certification.
  • Obtain and hold crane certification as applicable.
  • Complete various paper and electronic production and inspection documents as required.
  • Perform operator level preventative maintenance to machines and machine support equipment as required.
  • Work to meet Company production schedules. 

What will you need to qualify for this role? 

  • Candidates must achieve a passing score on the TABE test issued at One Stop.  Call 716-373-1880 to schedule an appointment.
  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Must pass our basic mechanical aptitude test given on-site.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds on a regular basis throughout the day.
  • Experience in the setup and operation of milling or turning machines, horizontal boring mills
