The Mentor Graphics Child Development Center has part time opening for our 2019-20 School year in our Preschool classroom.
This position in 32.5 hours a week, Monday-Friday 11 AM-6 PM, year round.
Teachers at Mentor Graphics work in a professional, collaborative, team based culture and are inspired by the schools of Reggio Emilia, Italy and a social-constructivist pedagogy.
Successful candidates are professionals who are passionate about the art of teaching and committed to staying current on child development research and best practice in the field of Early Childhood Education. Responsibilities of the position include: supporting the daily work of our school through curriculum development and implementation that is responsive to children's interests;direct care-giving with children; open and constructive communication with colleagues and parents.
Education requirements: AA or BA in Early Childhood education preferred. Candidates who are actively pursuing an A.A. degree or greater in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
Prerequisite requirements enrollment in the ORO Step Registry(7 or above); Initial background check and current enrollment in the Oregon Child Care Criminal History Registry; and a valid Oregon food handler’s card/CPR First Aid.
