Siemens Global Support operates out of different locations across globe from which it provides product support to Siemens enterprise customers on a 24x7 basis.   Siemens employs primarily software and systems engineers who work in a cutting-edge, technology-based business that provides intelligent systems to manage Smart Grid applications and systems for electric power utilities and other energy providers.

We utilize a number of technologies internally, this person will work closely with R&D and customer on the other hand. He/she will also b working closely with the Support team and management in different timezones. The systems that the Global Support team supports are critical to the ongoing success of Siemens Solutions, so we are committed to hiring the best and providing them the tools and knowledge to succeed.

We make real what matters
  • You will be coordinating the efforts of support engineers in our India office while simultaneously coordinating customer issues with our USA Support Services office
  • You will be escalating customer issues as appropriate, drive issues to resolution
  • You will have to prioritize and resolve numerous issues of varying severity within defined service levels.
  • You will be involved in developing a deep understanding of how to operate Siemens software end-to-end, Learn Siemens’s products and becoming an expert on specific functionality
  • You will have to manage the deployment of Siemens software and maintenance upgrades, Advocate for customer requirements into Siemens’s Engineering and Product teams
  • You will provide client-facing support for escalated software bugs and operational issues
  • You will ensure adherence to Siemens’s professional standards and processes
  • You will provide inputs for process improvements, tool development, and documentation to propel the software support process

What you need to make real what matters

  • You should be a BE graduate in Computer Science or equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in a level1/level 2 customer support or delivery service team for a high-tech company
  • You should have strong problem solving and software troubleshooting skills
  • You should have knowledge of SDLC or working experience on an enterprise product
  • You should have working knowledge of UNIX/Windows environment and good understanding of Shell Scripting
  • You sould have technical troubleshooting skills of large RDBMS like Oracle with sound knowledge of SQL, Knowledge and troubleshooting experience of core Java and XML standards to support complex enterprise software, Knowledge of basic networking concepts like WWW, FTP, TELNET, SSH, etc.
  • You should have apache Tomcat Administration skills or Administration of other web applications
  • You should have the ability to effectively communicate technical issues, prioritize them  and enjoy working with customers

This role is primarily based at Noida. However, you may get the opportunity to visit other locations within India as and when the work demands.
