PLM Architect – Midwest or South Eastern U.S. (DISW-PLM)

 

Position Overview

Act as a PLM technical lead in the software consulting environment, providing Teamcenter product expertise, designing and deploying innovative solutions configured to meet customer requirements and deliver value.


Responsibilities:

  • Participate with Solution architects in advising and proposing PLM/Teamcenter solutions which guide and align with customer's vision.

  • Use effective communications and technical expertise to establish and maintain customer expectations, and eventual adoption of proposed solution.

  • Participate with Project Management in control of scope, cost, schedule, and quality.

  • Interact with Product Development organizations to resolve issues that impact the solution.

  • Develop industry best practices and templates to enhance the value derived from solutions delivered by Siemens Services organization.

 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field of study, or equivalent experience.

  • Must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and experience in a customer facing role.

  • Ability to travel up 50% for some projects.

  • Minimum five years of experience implementing or supporting Siemens Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management software or other PLM system such as Windchill, Enovia, Agile in at least two industry domains.

  • Knowledge of delivery framework and methodologies for a Professional Services organization.  Experience in leading team members throughout the phases of software implementation projects including definition, installation, configuration, testing, deployment and post production support.

  • Minimum five years Teamcenter (or other PLM software) experience with specific PLM solution elements such as: Authoring Functional Specifications; Defining Work Streams, Work Breakdown Structures, Scenarios and Use Cases; Data Modeling; Management of CAD Data, Documents and Change Processes; Workflow creation, testing and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) best practices.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

  • Preferred locations:  Milford, OH; Indianapolis, IN; Louisville, KY; Nashville, TN; or Atlanta, GA.
