Head of Captive Sales

Job Description

As the Head of Captive Sales Americas for Siemens Financial Services Commercial Finance (SFS COF AM), you will drive the sales activities and own the go-to-market strategy contributing to the overall strategic fulfillment of SFS COF AM and be a member of the COF Americas management team reporting directly to the CEO of COF Americas. In this role, you will plan, direct and control the sales activities for your specific department in the region to ensure the achievement of operational business goals and targets for growth and profitability.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

·       Drive and execute the go-to-market strategy for SFS COF AM proximity sales towards annual targets and also drive activities supporting longer term target fulfillment in line with corporate guidelines, long term strategy. This includes serving Siemens as a partner (Proximity) to drive Siemens growth and move the overall business mix supporting relevant Siemens businesses.

·       To provide strong sales leadership to the organization and lead the Proximity team

·      Participate in the strategic development and operational performance of Commercial Finance Americas organization

·       Contribute to the business planning, budgeting and forecasting activities within SFS COF AM in line with Group guidelines and timescales. To review and report on progress against plans, budgets and forecasts and recommend actions to ensure key business performance indicators are met.

·       Build, lead and motivate a high performing sales team in order to ensure the availability of the necessary knowledge, skills and expertise within the organization to meet the strategic needs of the business.

·       Direct and control the activities of proximity sales related matters of compliance, with specific focus on regulatory and legal and fiscal matters in cooperation with the respective departments in the region.

·       Support full compliance towards Siemens governance and compliance frameworks and controls.

·       Cooperate and collaborate with functions Finance, Operations and Risk in order to execute a successful business performance and ensure a full and effective delivery of credit, underwriting and commercial decisions in line with policy and agreed service levels.

·       Lead the Proximity sales organization operationally based on own sales experience. Focus on Direct sales and Distribution sales via Siemens Introducers and value adding partners. Lead program management and secure Account plans. To deliver customer value proposition based on service, technology and automation.

·       Contribute to a culture within the Commercial Finance Region Americas that fosters cross-functional working, ownership, drives overall growth of the company and the development of employees.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

·       Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or similar field

·       10+ years of finance and sales leadership experience or equivalent within a financial company preferable within Siemens Industry (SI or DI). Preferably in a complex group structure with functional setup and several internal service deliveries.

·       Proven experience with good reputation managing senior management, stakeholders, with a high degree of gravitas and ownership skills

·       Strong performance track record of sales leadership and own sales experience achievements

·       Highly commercial with strong P&L and balance sheet understanding

·       High self-motivated and target driven personality

·       Experience of working in a dynamic environment with the complexity of different business models, highly strategic managing different functions, regions and the overall matrix organization.

·       Understanding of financial services products and markets – specifically leasing, lending, factoring, gathered via leading financial services organizations

·       Knowledge of an industrial business in the areas of electrification, automation and digitalization
