Location – This role can be based anywhere in the UK as long as you are prepared to travel to UK wide, attending client sites 80% of the time.
We are recruiting for the role of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software Project Manager
Represent Siemens Digital Industries Software as a Project Manager, liaising with customers and internal and external consultants, in order to deliver quality projects, on time and to budget.
You will be responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, and overseeing large projects/programmes (>~£1 million) consisting of single or multiple work streams, to meet and deliver defined requirements, project outputs or business specifications on time, within budget, and with quality results by managing cross-functional internal teams.
Manage and communicate a clear vision of the project’s objectives, and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment to optimise performance by team members.
This will be a home-based role, with the majority of time spent on customer sites, nationwide.
Delivery of high quality projects; on time and to budget, enforcing project management best practice.
Develop and manage relationships with internal and external clients and vendors, keeping them informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.
Manage change to preserve project plan commitments by proactively identifying changes in work scope and ensuring appropriate planning measures are taken.
Effectively manage projects resources, providing a forecast of resource skills needed.
Manage the financial aspects of the project: budgeting, billing and forecasting, etc.
Co-create all project documentation in conjunction with the team, including the definition of project metrics and acceptance criteria.
Working with the technical team, work closely with the customer to translate the business objectives into an effective project plan and obtain customer management approval.
Complete relevant steps in the resource management system (PSA) to fulfil workflow requirements.
Experience of PLM Software delivery in Customer environments.
Experience and familiarity with recognised Project Management methodologies.
Familiarity of Siemens in the PLM product marketplace
Proficiency with project management software tools – MS Projects or similar
Experience of Project Management in I.T., Engineering or Manufacturing sectors
Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships and expectations.
Knowledge of PLM tools and processes, preferably Teamcenter, would be advantageous.
Excellent communications skills, both spoken and written, with good presentation skills.
Strong organisational and leadership skills with strong problem solving skills.
Team player who is able to work well with all people; including engineers and senior managers.
Self-starter who can show Initiative and work autonomously when required.
Willingness and drive to learn and develop.
