VP – Total Lifecycle Management – EIS Market

Job Description

We are looking for a Lifecycle management VP for our Oil and Gas Business in Siemens Energy. You will be closely interface with C-suite and global organization, responsible and accountable for driving EIS (Environmental and Industrial Solutions) market segment performance via

  • Segment leadership in technology and price across value chain
  • Increase in EIS market share penetration & profitability, including competitiveness in new regions & applications
  • Establishing and maintaining competitive strengths
  • Delivering highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Developing and delivering short-term and long-term EIS segment strategy
  • Accelerating development programs & baseline offerings
  • Expediting resolution of roadblocks through efficient network & decision making

What are my responsibilities?

  • Establish EIS market segment leadership

-         Identify EIS market direction on global and local basis

-         Engage teams horizontally to create EIS market segment strategy

-         Conduct periodic review and course correction

-         Evaluate and prioritize customer requirements

-         Generate Customer Value Proposition for each segment

-         Maximize ROI for each customer offering

-         Drive competitive benchmarking across value chain

-         Execute strategy and own EIS segment performance

-         Manage baseline bid creation and execution

-         Implement best practices and continuous improvement

  • Drive excellence in new developments

-         Definition of features for new offerings and timely market introduction

-         Align business cases with stakeholders and identify priority order

-         Ensure periodic review and optimization of business cases against ROI

-         Optimize budget allocation

-         Identify baseline deviations and resulting opportunities for new offerings 

-         Drive roll out plan including sales education, communication and customer enrollment

-         Deliver execution and implementation of new offerings

  • Improve bottom-line and customer satisfaction for current portfolio offerings

-         Own baseline offerings

-         Own Bill of Materials, total cost and technical performance of all baseline configurations

-         Troubleshoot technical issues and shortcomings

-         Drive total cost competitiveness along entire lifecycle

-         Collaborate with Sales to determine target pricing for all baseline configurations

-         Approve, communicate and rollout baseline updates

-         Establish and drive baseline execution models

-         Drive and control deviations from baseline configurations

-         Support cross-functional bid optimization for strategic / "top10" opportunities

-         Monitor warranty claims and non-conformance cost (NCC) to continually adapt baseline details to improve product KPI (reliability, costs, cycle time, etc.)

-         Systematically manage customer request escalation

-         Drive functional excellence within TLM

-         Proactively engage and collaborate with key stakeholders in Sales, Operations, Engineering, Strategy, Marketing and R&D, to identify optimization opportunities

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • University degree: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or similar field
  • 7-10 years’ work experience across portfolio management/ product management/ sales/ marketing/ strategy/ engineering
  • Comprehensive understanding of EIS market segmentation and competitive analysis
  • Adroit communicator from on-ground to executive meetings, with an ability to converse with diverse groups about information as well as inspirational objectives
  • Experienced in change management, with a dexterity in conceptual roadmaps as well as softer elements of being able to inspire his team
  • Superior interpersonal skills requisite of forming positive working relationships and organizational network
  • Acquired legacy of bringing positive business impact, e.g. managing budget and generating ROI
  • Ability in influencing others without authority, in a global matrixed organization
  • Experience in tackling complex stakeholder structures and eliminating organizational siloes in a global set up
  • Proven ability to take ownership and drive agenda across organization vertically and horizontally based on budget, time and according to specified technical and commercial targets

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Supply Chain or Business Administration
  • 5+ years of experience in Oil & Gas sector/ similar role in process industry/ consulting role
  • Understanding of Siemens’ products and offerings in the segment, with a perspective on competitive strengths and weaknesses
  • Work experience in O&G is clearly a preference
  • Expertise in functions such as supply chain, technology, R&D, service
  • High emotional aptitude and ability to execute change management by expertly navigating organizational resistance
  • Packaging / sourcing / value chain experience is an asset
