The Sr Director Supply Chain Management will be responsible for leading and running Purchasing, Inventory control, Production Planning, Logistics, Order Fulfillment, Bill of materials management and Change control of Commercial IoT Sensory Network Products. By working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Sales teams, she/he will ensure that Enlighted, Inc is delivering on demand fulfillment on time.
Ensures management, customer, vendor and employee expectations and commitments are met. Engages and motivates team focus on goals and objectives achievement.
What your team and you are responsible for:
Structure, maintain and improve processes covering purchasing, strategic sourcing, inventory min/max levels, logistics and direct order fulfillment.
Maintain Bill of Materials and change control.
Work closely with sales, manufacturing, and engineering to derive internal and external demand and plan production to maintain appropriate levels of inventory.
Run vendor relationship with the suppliers of microcontrollers, sensors, radio/WiFi components, connectors, cables and other passive components.
Closely monitor and analyze the product mix and activity levels to settle appropriate stocking levels and necessary inventory reserves.
Work with contract manufacturers and system integration partners for assembly, test and direct order fulfillment of revenue and warranty orders.
Lead procurement of indirect spend (3rd party services, subscriptions, and cost center spend).
Run cost reduction programs including measuring critical SCM critical metrics with regard to cost, timely shipment, on-time delivery of orders and meeting timely warranty replacement shipments.
Reconcile ERP system data/transactions with the reported actual transactions.
Reconcile the contract manufacturers, suppliers and vendor charges and review/sign-off on the invoices.
Work on month end and quarter end inventory reconciliation.
Work on new product introductions, supplier samples for validation and appropriate releases.
The role may possibly evolve into also leading Manufacturing Engineering, Test Development and Maintenance
Qualifications you have for the job.
Familiarity with the use of Product Life cycle management software packages (Arena and/or Agile) and ERP software packages (Dynamics 365, Great Plains or equivalent).
Prior hands-on experience in leading supply chain activities of IoT sensor, Consumer and/or Commercial sensory level products
Ability to lead and coordinate several simultaneous tasks required to get the job done accurately, on time and within budget in a dynamic growth environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, analytical and be a problem solver.
Communicate effectively, both in writing and in speaking, with customers, co-workers, and various vendor contacts in a professional manner.
Ideal candidate will have BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering with 8-10 years of applicable experience in system level purchasing, product planning and logistics.
Prior supervisory/management experience in leading a supply chain/procurement team or function.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed with the ability to get along with all levels of management and customers.
Ability limited travel to manage relationships with and oversight of Contract Manufacturers
