Position Overview: Sr. Software Engineer
Siemens Healthineers is seeking a super-star developer/prototyper/researcher/collaborator/thinker to join its Innovation team for Automation and Informatics products in Flanders, NJ. You will be working on a small, cross-functional team of top-notch overachievers to shape the future and direction of the Automation and Informatics Platform Engineering group and, more importantly, the Laboratory Diagnostics industry. The Innovation Team is responsible for identifying and executing on products, projects and opportunities that lead to:
- Customer Delight: identify and research promising new technologies that could be leveraged to improve our existing products or create new product opportunities.
- Project acceleration: perform feasibility, architecture and prototyping for high-risk new functionality being considered for our upcoming products/releases.
- Productivity Savings: develop shared code and tools, architectures and/or improved processes, to have more time for 1 and 2
In addition to working on the Innovation Team, you will also be contributing to the development and evolution of our flagship commericial informatics software products.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Required: Modern web frameworks; Cloud computing
Preferred: Data Analytics, Big Data, Machine Learning, AI
Preferred: Angular, .Net core, MS SQL Server, Docker
Nice to have: Strong design and graphical skills
Extra credit: Knowledge and familiarity with medical devices and clinical laboratories.
