Objective:

The main focus for this function is on:

  • Maximizing sales of existing products and services for the assigned market segment (Aviation, Space & Defense)
  • Supporting the launch of new solutions
  • Deal support for large (named) opportunities
  • Training of regional sales, PFD and presales engineers

This position reports to the Director Business Development - Test.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1.        Maximize sales of existing products and services for the assigned market segment
• Support regional sales organizations by defining and executing sales programs
• Leveraging successes from one region to another
• Guiding regional offices to go to new market segments with existing products
• Ensure availability of required sales materials
• Develop & maintain a view on the market potential for the assigned market segment
• Work with Test Subsegment Management to set targets for the market segment
• Analyse market segment & define strategy to maximize market share for SISW
• Work with Product Management to improve the product lines

2.        Support launch of new solutions

• Help to enable the sales of the relevant solutions through the regular field salesforce
• Training of sales and presales engineers on new solutions
• Work with regional sales engineers to develop first reference accounts for new solutions

3.        Deal support for large (named) opportunities

• Act as a liaison person between the regions and the Test Subsegment in support of larger deals
• Coordination of efforts in support of technical and commercial close of the opportunity
• Work with Product Management and Product Development Management on required product customization or extensions
• Report on progress for the assigned opportunities

4.        Training of the regional PFD and sales engineers
• Ensure that PFD and  sales engineers are sufficiently familiar with the offering in order to represent the solutions effectively in front of the customers
• Ensure the availability of training materials for sales and PFD


Profile

  • University degree M.Sc. in engineering or higher
  • Knowledge of theory and background wrt. acoustics & vibration testing, basics of fatigue
  • Knowledge of the SISW Simcenter Test product portfolio (Simcenter SCADAS/Simcenter Testlab) and/or competitive solutions (B&K, Mueller-BBM, Head Acoustics, HBM, Dewetron, M+P, Spectral Dynamics, …) is an extra asset
  • Knowledgeable about engineering process in AS&D
    • Structural testing (Shaker testing, Impact testing, Modal Analysis, GVT…)
    • Acoustic testing (Binaural measurements, Sound Quality, Sound source localization, Material testing, …)
    • Signature testing (Engine testing, Gearbox testing, Torsional vibrations, …)
    • Environmental testing (Sine/Random/Shock testing, Time Waveform replication, …)
  • Experience in technical/commercial customer contacts
  • Languages:
    • Fluent in English
    • Knowledge of German and/or French are extra strong assets
