Repair Center Technician – Tooling Machine Spindles
Siemens Weiss Spindle Service in the Mentor, OH, facility is looking for a Repair Center Technician for Tooling Machine Spindles. As a specialist in the development and manufacturing of high-precision motor spindle units, this group will supply a full range of standardized and individual spindle solutions. Service is a top priority at Weiss and we’re hiring technicians for our US repair center!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Perform initial inspections on incoming spindle units
Disassemble, Assemble and clean machine tool spindles
Test Run and commission of spindle units utilizing Siemens 611 & S120 drives
Oscilloscope to set up encoder systems
Electrical set up of analog and proximity sensors
of Vibration Measuring Equipment to balance repaired product
candidate must have the following abilities:
Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching
May require lifting to 75 pounds
Required Skills /
High School Diploma or GED
Experience with electric motors
Ability to read mechanical drawings
Basic Hands on electrical and mechanical skills
General Computer Knowledge
Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
Excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Self-Motivated to work productively, efficiently and prioritize duties
Work Overtime as needed
Position is Temp to Full Hire
