What will you do?
The Program Lead is responsible for the operation of two core programs at Siemens Canada:
1) The Dual Education Program / Siemens Canada Engineering & Technology Academy (SCETA), Siemens’ premier work-integrated learning program for post-secondary students
2) The Mechatronics Systems Certification Program, which certifies Canadian post-secondary institutes as partners in our global certification program
⦁Responsibilities for the Dual Education Program include: 1) Annual needs assessment / target-setting with the business, 2) Annual recruitment of high-calibre students to meet business needs in coordination with academic partners, Siemens HR and business partners; 4) Delivery of the program together with internal and 3rd party resources; 4) Driving program development to meet evolving business needs; 5) Ensuring that program delivery stays on budget together with commercial partner
⦁Responsibilities for the Mechatronics Systems Certification include: 1) Growing revenue with post-secondary institutes; 2) Ensuring high-quality program delivery in conjunction with internal partners
⦁The lead is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships both with academic institutes and key business stakeholders across Siemens Canada, and identifying further opportunities for Siemens to create value with the academic institution
⦁The lead may also represent Siemens Canada in government and industry-led activities on work-integrated learning and Mechatronics
⦁The lead will have the opportunity to grow both programs to support additional resources; a great starter P&L experience
⦁The Program Lead reports to the VP of Business & Corporate Development and works in a multi-disciplinary team of talented leaders driving strategic initiatives for Siemens in Canada
⦁Working hours and location for this role are flexible with an expectation of ~20% of time spent at our Oakville headquarters (higher in the initial ramp-up) and ~10-20% travel to academic partners
What will you need to succeed?
⦁5-7+ years work experience in relevant positions
⦁Excellent project managements skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver high-calibre projects across complex networks of internal and external stakeholders
⦁Demonstrated recruiting / hiring and people management experience
⦁Sales experience and/or strong understanding of academic institutions
⦁Understanding of Mechatronics systems
⦁Excellent written & verbal communication skills
⦁A degree in engineering or technical equivalent is preferred
⦁French is an asset
⦁Self-directed, open-minded individual who enjoys challenges and works effectively under pressure
