Services Financial Business Partner (6 Month FTC)

Job Description

An opportunity has arisen at Siemens Digital Industries Software, at our Frimley offices in Surrey, for a Services Financial Business Partner to join our Finance team on an initial 6 month fixed term contract. You will be responsible for partnering the UK Services business, with your primary targets being to support the Services business, drive efficiency, consistency and accuracy in the Services business financials.

An overview of your responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly Actual / Forecast reviews and annual budgeting process for the Services business

  • Partner with Services Team to drive FCST understanding and accuracy

  • Partner with Services Team to provide commercial project management to drive cost and project margin improvement

  • Lead Services business reporting and analysis (Essbase, BW), including development of performance dashboards

  • Statement of Work Reviews / Approvals

  • Drive efficiencies, consistency and collaboration across the EMEA Zone Finance / Business teams

  • Coordinate timely training and knowledge transfer communication throughout the Services business to drive process excellence.

  • Support the team as required to ensure monthly closing deadlines are met

  • Support external agency / Internal Audits as necessary

  • Various ad-hoc duties as and when required

  • Travel required for team meetings, business reviews – advised at roughly 10% of role.

For this opportunity you will need:

  • Relevant accounting qualifications & post qualified experience

  • Excellent knowledge of Local Accounting, Tax laws & IFRS

  • Microsoft Office skills are essential, including advanced excel user knowledge

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ideally previous experience of IFRS and SOP 97-2 revenue recognition

  • Experience of project controlling and/or accounting

  • Experience of a rigid compliance & SOX based approach
