Manufacturing Engineer

The candidate, who reports to Head of Production, will be responsible for quality and productivity improvements related to automated assembly and testing of products in our plant in Trondheim. One of the main products, battery modules for maritime and offshore applications, are produced in a state-of the art automated production system. The system is comprised of several industrial robots and automated intelligent vehicles (AiVs), sensors (force, vision, etc), and software for data collection, monitoring and control (Wats, Siemens PLS etc). The candidate will also be responsible for the automation and software infrastructure related to manufacturing processes in other parts of the plant, such as test fixtures for quality control of sub-assemblies (LabView etc.) and software for high voltage end-of-line product testing. The two main objectives will be to make sure that the current processes are fit to meet the standard of quality and productivity, and that enabling technologies and solutions are developed and implemented to further enhance efficiency and future innovation and competitiveness.

To succeed in the position, we believe it is an advantage if you

  • Have experience as Manufacturing/Production Engineer or similar
  • Have experience within mass production and quality systems
  • Have completed a technical education on minimum bachelor’s level relevant for automated and robotized production
  • Have software and programming knowledge and experience related to automated production technologies and systems
  • Have experience with data collection and analysis / mining
  • Can work effectively both in a team and independently
  • Are fluent in Norwegian and in English (written and spoken)
